When people think of the new generation of hedge fund managers, they often think of Lee Ainslie. Ainslie at 36 years old runs Maverick Capital. After graduating from the University of Virginia, where he studied systems engineering, he worked as a consultant at KPMG. He then attended the University of North Carolina Business School, where he came to know Julian Robertson. He eventually worked at Tiger Management as managing director for three years and credits Robertson (and other traders at Tiger) as having an influence on his career.
